conibeta GmbH holds the full license for the photo „Leap into Freedom“ by photographer Peter Leibing. It has been part of the German UNESCO World Documentary Heritage since 2011.
The motif shows People’s Police officer Conrad Schumann on August 15, 1961, jumping over the temporary barbed wire border at the corner of Bernauer Strasse and Ruppiner Strasse. Schumann was assigned to border security during construction work on the Wall.
